Üleüldse kõiki ferengisid kehastanud näitlejad mängisid enda rolli suurepäraselt välja, alati tuleb mulle meelde Jeffrey Coombs'i fantastiline tegelaskuju Brunt. Wink

Minu hinnangul oleks sari ilma ferengideta olnud oluliselt tavalisem ning ehk veidikese värvitum, see rass lisas sarjale veelgi omapärasema iseloomu.

Mainimst väärt on muidugi ferengide Rules Of Acquisition raamat, millest sarjas väga tihti räägiti ning mis lisas nende ühiskonnale kõvasti reaalsust.

Neile, kes neid reegleid eriti hästi ei tea, otsisin ma nimekirja, kus on enamus olemas. Smile

DS9 kujundas ferengid tõepoolest hästi välja ja kasutas nende potentsiaali õiges suunas, erinevalt TNG'st, kus neid üritati kujutada hirmuäratavate vastastena. Selliste kõrvadega nad paraku vaid koomilisteks tegelasteks sobivadki.

Millegipärast jättis ta pidevalt sellise tüütu mulje ning ainuke hea osa, mida ma temaga mäletan, on 7. hooajast "It's Only a Paper Moon".

It changed the future, and it changed us. It taught us that we had to create the future, or others will do it for us. It showed us that we have to care for each other, because if we don't, who will? And that strength sometimes comes from the most unlikely of places. Mostly, though, I think it gave us hope that there can always be new beginnings, even for people like us.

Minu jaoks olid ferengid sarja sool, ülejäänud tegevustik jäi minu maitse jaoks liiga staatiliseks (võib-olla olen lihtsalt liiga pinnapealne hea asja hindamiseks).
