Muuseas J.J. Abramsit ei ole endiselt kinnitatud järgmise filmi re¾issööri kohale ja väidetavalt ei taha ta ka ise seda enne kinnitada, kui stsenaarium valmis on:

Kõige huvitavama uudisena aga räägivad Roberto Orci ja Alex Kurtzman sellest, kuidas nad järgmisele filmile lähenevad. Esiteks on nad loo põhimõtteliselt välja mõelnud, kuid mingeid spoilereid artiklites siiski pole.  Muuseas kinnitab Orci, et kuigi eelmise filmiga üritati Star Trekist ja selle vanast kaanonist lahti murda, siis tahavad nad endiselt, et lugu mõjuks vana hea Trekina. Samuti ei ole nad siiski mõelnud konkreetselt filmide triloogia peale nagu varem spekuleeritud.

Viimaste uudiste kohaselt siis stsenaariumi endiselt valmis pole. J.J. Abramsi jutust jääb siiski mulje, et selle kallal vähemalt töötatakse:

Trekmovie.com vahendab natuke uuemaid arenguid järgmise Star Treki filmi osas:
1) J.J. Abrams ei ole veel endiselt otsustanud, kas hakkab re¾issööriks; enne otsustamist tahab käsikirjaga tutvuda, aga see pole veel valmis. Et film aga planeeritud tähtajaks (29. juuni 2012) valmis saaks, tuleks sel suvel kindlasti filmima hakata.
2) Paramount tahab, et järgmine film oleks 3D formaadis. Abrams selle idee suhtes ise väga entusiastlik ei ole.

3D osas jagan natuke Abramsi skeptitsismi. Seda on võimalik hästi teha, nagu nt Avatari puhul, aga tihti on ka juhtunud, et see ei tööta eriti hästi ja kisub pigem tähelepanu filmi sisult kõrvale.

TrekMovie.com kirjutab, et Roberto Orci sõnul peaks filmi stsenaarium valmis saama märtsi lõpuks, misjärel liigub filmiprojekt eeltootmise faasi. Simon Peggi sõnul hakatakse Star Treki järge filmima augustis.
Ise küll kahtlen, et film 2012. juunis juba välja lastakse ja ilmselt viivitatakse sellega kas jälle talveni või isegi 2013. aastani, aga eks näis.

TrekMovie.com vahendab järgmist artiklit, mille kohaselt on filmistuudio Paramount juhtkond juba valmis järgmise Star Trek filmi eeltootmist rahastama isegi ilma lõplikku stsenaariumi nägemata. Stsenaarium peaks praeguste plaanide kohaselt valmima märtsi lõpuks.
Scotty osatäitja Simon Pegg kirjeldas stsenaariumit muuseas keeleuuendusliku sõnaga amazeballs.

Kui vahepeal liikus kuulujutte, et järgmine Star Treki film võib teiste projektide tõttu edasi lükkuda, siis nüüd paistab, et asjad lähevad siiski esialgse plaani kohaselt ja film tuleb järgmisel suvel välja. Samas arvestades asjaolu, et tootmist pole veel alustatud, läheb asjaga ilmselt kiireks ja hilinemine pole välistatud.
Täpsemalt teemal:
Airlock Alpha kirjutab, et järgmine Jack Ryani film, kus peaks peaosa täitma Kirki osatäitja Chris Pine, on Star Treki kasuks edasi lükatud.

Paramount has been putting a lot of effort into bringing together a new Jack Ryan project based on the character from "The Hunt For Red October," but now that those plans have been put on hold the studio is pushing forward with another project: the latest big-screen adaptation of Star Trek.
Based on the Tom Clancy character, the new Jack Ryan movie (tentatively titled "Moscow") would not be based on any of the Clancy novels but would place the character in the middle of a terrorist plot. Chris Pine, the new face of Capt. James T. Kirk, has signed on to play Ryan in the gun-toting adventure and was due to film "Moscow" in February before moving on to film Star Trek.
However, screenwriter Steve Zaillian has now left the Jack Ryan project allowing Paramount to focus on the next Trek outing. Although the finishing touches are still being applied to the script, filming on Star Trek is scheduled for the fall, with the studio eyeing a possible Summer 2012 release. |
Asjaolu, et järgmise filmi väljatuleku aja muutmiseks plaane pole, kinnitas TrekMovie.com artiklis ka J.J. Abrams ning lisas muuhulgas, et täpse stsenaariumi kallal tehakse veel tööd.

The Star Trek sequel is set to be released exactly 15 months from today. In that time Abrams will have to finish up post-production for Super 8 (due in theaters in June), and go through script approval/green-light/budget, pre-production, production and post-production on the Star Trek sequel…all on top of his other projects. With this kind of workload, it is understandable why some are wondering about the release date, especially with other big summer (and even some winter) 2012 projects already in pre-production or production.
However, it appears that the Abrams team and Paramount are not worried. TrekMovie sources all indicate that the studio is sticking to its plan, and yesterday’s report in Deadline (and Abrams comment today) all seem to back this up. |

Igasuguseid väiksemaid uudiseid on filmi arengute kohta viimasel ajal palju liikunud, aga need seisnevad enamasti selles, et keegi ei tea ikka veel täpselt midagi ja seetõttu ma pole ka vaevunud neid siia postitama. Nüüd aga väärib märkimist ehk kuulujutt, mille kohaselt lükkub filmi väljatulek edasi 2012. aasta detsembrisse. Mis pole ka eriline ime, sest algse tähtajani 29. juuni 2012 on jäänud ainult aasta ja üks kuu ning kuna isegi stsenaarium pole veel täiesti valmis ja filmimise alustamisest ollakse samuti kaugel, siis on mõningane edasilükkumine ootuspärane, kuigi kahetsusväärne.

J.J. Abrams tunnistas, et on järgmise Star Treki filmi graafikuga umbes kuus kuud ajast maas, kuid filmi ekraanile toomine juunis 2012 ei ole veel võimatu:

| Well this isn't anything we didn't expect, but now there's some confirmation. Deadline is reporting that now that Super 8 has earned an impressive $125 million, J.J. Abrams can finally move onto Star Trek 2 and things are in the works with the writers to finish up the script. But in the meantime, as was rumored, the release date is being pushed back until "the fourth quarter of 2012 or summer, 2013." So instead, Jon M. Chu's G.I. Joe: Retaliation, which finally seems like the real title for the G.I. Joe sequel since it wasn't actually Cobra Strikes, will be filling Star Trek's original summer release date June 29th, 2012. |

Nüüdseks on enam-vähem kindel, et 2012. aastal film siiski ekraanidele ei jõua ja tõenäoliselt tuleb järgmine Star Trek välja alles 2013. aasta suvel.

While Viacom wants to see such high revenue growth continue, the company knows it might be a little while for its venerable Star Trek franchise to contribute. The plan had been for a 2012 release for "Star Trek 2," but accommodating director J.J. Abrams' schedule took a little finesse, and filming isn't even expected to start until early 2012. Because so much time was needed for post-production, Paramount could've considered, at the earliest, a Christmas 2012 release.
However, reports continued to circulate once Abrams took the helm that the film would indeed be pushed to 2013, with Paramount wanting to once again push it to an early summer release. They had done the same with Abrams' first attempt at Star Trek, first setting it to premiere in Christmas 2008, but instead moving it to May 2009. "Star Trek" would go on to earn $257.7 million domestically and nearly $400 million worldwide -- topping all 11 previous films. |

TrekMovie has learned from trusted sources that the official start date for production on the Star Trek sequel is January 15th, 2012. This is over four years and two months after the start of production for the 2009 Star Trek movie (which began shooting on November 7th, 2007). |

On selgunud uue filmi pealkiri... küll mitteametlik teadaanne, kuid siiski. Selleks saab või võib saada Star Trek Into Darkness.
Siin on ka vihjeid, mida Into Darkness võiks tähendada. Kindlasti tasub artikli lõpus ära vaadata ka video, mis räägib võimalikust trekisarjast. |

Film tuleb hea, selles ma ei kahtle, aga ma loodan, et see uus pahalane (on üldse öeldud, keda Cumberbatch mängib? ) on Nerost piisavalt erinev ja et ta on natuke diipim tegelane. |

Väga äge trailer. Tundub, et Garth of Izar (TOS'ist) on tagasi. Ei uskunud, et selline pahalane valitakse juba teiseks filmiks, aga paistab, et tegemist on palju võimsama tegelasega kui sarjas.
Äsja nähtu põhjal tuli natuke meelde Batmani uusim film ja Bane.
