Star Wreck oli super. Nüüd on neil rohkem kogemusi, rohkem raha ja võibolla ka oluliselt rohkem avatud uksi, nii et teoreetiliselt peaks uus film veel parem tulema. Loodetavasti aga suudetakse ka see amatöörfilmi hõng säilitada.

Kuigi projekti alustati juba mitu aastat tagasi, siis mina ootan küll endiselt huviga, mis sellest lõpuks välja tuleb. Väidetavalt on filmi eelarve nüüdseks kasvanud juba üle 6 miljoni dollari, mis "amatöörfilmi" kohta on vägagi kõrge eelarve.

Star Wrecki ma isiklikult kunagi vaadanud pole, kuid uurides nüüd natuke selle filmi tagamaid, tundub küll, et see võib igati lahe projekt olla. Idee on mõnusalt koomiline, kuid samas ka väga paeluv ning nagu öeldud, on eelarve seda tüüpi filmi kohta juba päris priske.
Jään suure huviga ootama ning loodan, et seda filmi saab näha ka kinolinal.

Towards the end of World War II the Nazi scientists made a significant breakthrough in anti-gravity. From a secret base built in the Antarctic, the first Nazi spaceships were launched in late ’45 to found the military base Schwarze Sonne (Black Sun) on the dark side of the Moon. This base was to build a powerful invasion fleet and return to take over the Earth once the time was right.
Now it’s 2018, and it’s the time for the first American Moon landing since the 70′s. Meanwhile the Nazi invasion, that has been over 70 years in the making, is on its way, and the world is goose-stepping towards its doom. The three main characters of the story are Renate Richter (Julia Dietze), Klaus Adler (Götz Otto), and James Washington (Christopher Kirby). |

Vaatasin filmi kinos ära ja tuleks öelda, et oli igati lõbus. Näha oli, et tehnilise poole pealt on kõvasti vaeva nähtud ja ka naljad olid kohati väga head.
Tore oli vahelduseks vaadata väljaspool USA-d valminud ulmefilmi ja lisaks on muidugi film vaatamist väärt juba seetõttu, et tegijad alustasid amatöridena ja Iron Sky on juba oma tasemelt võrreldav suurte ja kümnetesse miljonitesse ulatuvate eelarvetega filmidega.
Kuna antud filmi eelarve polnud hiigelsuur (7.5 miljonit eurot), siis tuleks kiita ka näitlejate valikut, mis minu arust oli üllatavalt hästi õnnestunud, eriti natside osas. 
Eriefektide rohkuse tõttu soovitaks aga filmi just kinos vaadata, sest vastasel korral läheb palju kaduma.

Mäletan, et ootasin selle filmi valmimist kaua ning esimest korda kinos nähes jättis Iron Sky mulle päris hea mulje. Nüüd kui avanes võimalus seda filmi uuesti vaadata, pean tunnistama, et see valmistas mulle mõningase pettumuse. Film tundus kuidagi elutu ja naljad jätsid väga sunnitud mulje. Kuna tegemist oli komöödiaga, siis on sellest väga kahju, sest ausalt öeldes ei olnud vist ühtegi stseeni, mis oleks suutnud mind naerma panna. Kohati küll muigama, aga see oli ka kõik.
Arvestades filmi madalat eelarvet olid efektid head ja film jättis visuaalselt hea mulje ning samuti ei ole mul eriti midagi ette heita näitlejatele. Sarah Palinist eeskuju saanud USA president oli ehk meeldejäävaim tegelane, kuid temagi kannatas minu arvates mõnevõrra sunnitud huumori tõttu. Sisu osas pole arvatavasti mõtet väga midagi kommenteerida, sest ega Iron Sky ei üritanudki olla tõsine film.
Võib-olla tasub käesolevas teemas mainida pigem seda, et filmile plaanitakse ka järge nimega Iron Sky: The Coming Race, mida peaksid plaanide kohaselt rahastama fännid. Progressil saab silma peal hoida näiteks ametlikus blogis, mille kohaselt oli juuli alguseks kokku saadud juba 150 000 dollarit.

IRON SKY SEQUEL IN THE WORKS – AIMS FOR BIG CROWDFUNDING
“From the ruins of mankind, a new breed of superiority shall arise!”
The filmmakers behind the internationally successful scifi comedy IRON SKY are following up the insane storyline of Nazis on the Dark Side of the Moon by launching the crowdfunding effort for the sequel, titled IRON SKY THE COMING RACE.
So far, Iron Sky is the most successfully crowdfunded film in the world that has been released, raising $1,5 million from the crowd. The total budget of the film was $10 million. The aim with the sequel is to crush the crowdfunding records with help from its growing community for the scifi spectacle.
“Because Iron Sky had its genesis online and our funding model rose from those origins, people assumed we would follow an alternative distribution route, but we in fact raised other monies that put us on a more traditional path. Whilst it was great to work with distributors around the world who loved the project, with the sequel we want to return to our roots and see what new paths we can forge in online and alternative distribution.”, says producer Tero Kaukomaa. “When the new film comes out, we want it to be available for anyone, everywhere around the world and on whatever platform you prefer to watch it. Our goal is not to be dependant on any entity but our fans.”
The first goal is to raise money for the development phase to produce the script and a promo reel for the film, and a production plan. The crowdfunding takes place in Indiegogo; link.
The details of the story for Iron Sky sequel are still to be disclosed, and the team is keeping a tight lid on the production so far. The original writing team is currently laying out the beats of the story.
Iron Sky sequel will be shot earliest in 2015. “We are not in a hurry, we want to make this one the best, most amazing science fiction film out there,” Vuorensola adds.
“Because of the nature of the film, we want to start early enough building the community and funding the film,” producer Kaukomaa says. “We aim to redefine the possibilities of crowdfunding as an effort for distribution model against piracy and believe that our experience, fanbase and concept can carry us all the way there.”

UDO KIER RETURNS IN IRON SKY SEQUEL
Production eyeing to raise 100k in the first phase crowd funding.
The film makers of science fiction action comedy Iron Sky, released 2012 in Berlin Film Festival and followed by a worldwide success, are now working on the sequel. The first casting news promise the return of Udo Kier (who played the Moon Führer) and Stephanie Paul (who played the President of the United States).
Both actors have released their own campaign videos in support of Iron Sky sequel.

Although not much of the story has been released, the first visual released online hints of the storyline related to the Hollow Earth mythology.

The music for the film will be composed by a legendary Slovenian music group Laibach, who also composed the soundtrack for the first Iron Sky.
The film production is still in early stages, and filmmakers are now raising money to produce the script and first promo of the film, using IndieGoGo –platform. The campaign has so far raised almost $90000 and remaining days hope to get the funding up to $100000.
The complete budget of the film including viral communication is estimated to be somewhere around $15 million, with production starting earliest 2015. |
Nagu teatest nähtub, siis enne 2015. aastat filmi kindlasti tegema ei hakata, mis tähendab, et oodata on veel kaua. Küll aga peaksid naasma näitlejad Udo Kier (füürer Kortzfleisch) ja Stephanie Paul (USA president).
