Persons Unknown - From Academy Award-winning writer Christopher McQuarrie ('The Usual Suspects'), who executive produces with Heather McQuarrie, 'Persons Unknown' is a surreal mind-game of a series centering on a group of strangers who awaken in a deserted town with no memory of how they arrived, only to realize that there is no escape. Watched by omnipresent security cameras, their every attempt at leaving the town's borders is thwarted by mysterious forces. The only source of information is fed randomly through remotely controlled televisions, and as mistrust begins to breed, every alliance will be tested, especially when new guests begin to arrive. 'Persons Unknown' is from Fox Television Studios.

The Bishop - From executive producers and writers Freddie Prinze, Jr. and Conrad Jackson, this one-hour drama revolves around a young slacker whose charmed life is disrupted when he discovers that he has a supernatural gift. Initially rejecting the responsibility that comes with his newfound power, he soon realizes that the mystery surrounding his gift is rooted in his lineage, and in the father he never knew. As he goes on a quest to uncover his secret past, he discovers some shocking truths about himself. 'The Bishop' is from Brillstein-Grey Television.

Blink - From executive producers Eric McCormack ('Will & Grace') and Michael Forman, and writer Irving Belateche, this thought-provoking series asks the question: what would happen if you could freeze that moment in time when something you do or a decision you make changes your life forever? A group of Afterlife investigators try to help those about to make the wrong choice, in the blink of an eye before destiny is sealed forever.

Caprica kontseptsioon on iseenesest huvitav, aga ainuke hirm seoses sellega on mul see, et sel juhul võib kannatada BSG enda kvaliteet, sest ressursse tuleb ilmselt jagama hakata - kui täiesti teised inimesed seda tegema hakkaksid, võiksid need kaks sarja vastuolulisteks muutuda.
Ja natuke häirib ka see 'peredraama' idee, kuigi sci-fi settingus ei olegi vist midagi sellist varem tehtud.

Caprica jätab mind külmaks. Sisu ei paelu. Oma süü ka selles, et "eelloo" temaatika ei kuulu minu lemmikute hulka (sama asi ka Enterprise puhul, fakt et me teame kuhu see kõik välja jõuab võtab asjalt natuke võlu ära). Kui oleks eelmisest cyloni sõjast, siis ehk veel, kuid cylonite loomine ei huvita mind väga. Teema võib iseenesest huvitav olla, kuid neist cylonitest on minul igatahes isu täis.

Ega teised sarjad paremad pole, ainult Persons Unknown äratab oma lihtsuses huvi. Natuke meenutab filmi Cube. Võib öelda, et päris minu maitse järgi (loomulikult kui asi piisavalt tõsiselt tehtud).

Aga nagu aru saan, on need kõik 2007 aasta suve/sügise sarjad.

Põhimõtteliselt ei ole ükski nendest ideedest kehv, küll aga on nad mõneti kulunud. Snap tundub päris huvitav, kui ta ei osutu "Salatoimikute" klooniks. Sellest nimistust ka ainuke (v.a. Caprica), mida ma enne täpsema info tulekut vaatama hakkaks.
Persons Unknown on järjekordne müstikasari, ilmselt mingi Losti ja Invasioni kloon. Lisaks tuleb mulle meelde üks Jim Carrey film, mis selle nimi nüüd oligi... Ma kardan, et see ei paku enam midagi uut.
The Bishop jätab kuidagi igava ja kulunud mulje, kuid samas ei tasu enne nägemist midagi otsustada, sest üllatusteks tuleb valmis olla - ennegi on näiliselt ja eeldatavalt jamad sarjad väga heaks osutunud.
Blink on jälle üks vana idee, ainult natuke ümber töödeldud kuues ja meenutab "Ajahüpet" ja muid sellised sarju. Siiski, võib osutuda huvitavaks ja ma näen selles ka teatavat potentsiaali.

Tundub, et jälle kasutatakse suhteliselt levinud kontseptsiooni, eriti tuleb meelde Tru Calling. Muidugi võib see päris huvitavaks osutuda, aga mulle isiklikult sellised korduvad asjad ei meeldi. Ma mäletan üht TNG episoodi, kus Enterprise pidevalt õhku lendas... mind tüütas selle nägemine üsna kiiresti ära.
